Hi lovelies, let's quickly discuss how amazing this Spring season has been so far. Even though I have had a very busy schedule between work, kids, and family, I still feel like I am able to combine some of my favorite clothes to re-wear this season.
I love having the flexibility to play with my style and introduce textures and colors even if it means an ever subtle look. I find myself reaching into my wardrobe from time to time to pick my favorite accessories and clothes, and wear them comfortably.
For today's look, I decided to wear a simple sheer blouse with jeans. I believe jeans can really never go out of fashion because it's versatile and easy to style. The sheer blouse adds a touch of femininity to the look. I especially love this beautiful embroidered purse that was a gift from a friend who visited the Middle East late last month. On this occasion I wore Vince Camuto's camylla sandals and added a few accessory pieces like this red Michele jelly bean watch which I have had for a few years now. That’s the beauty of great pieces, they can be worn again and again over the years, and still look decent.
Now let's talk about what to look for when selecting pieces to re-wear in your wardrobe.
Re-Wearing Your Wardrobe
I'm going to focus on how I make the most out of the outfits in my wardrobe.
Color: It is nice to have a shade of neutral tones and colors in your wardrobe but I also suggest mixing your wardrobe with a few colorful pieces. What you wear should always express how you feel. Throwing in shades of red, blue, greens, purples, yellows will give you a variety of choices to select from. Color is part of our lives and there are some colors that are usually constant.
Texture: Aside from color, texture is usually something I keep in mind when putting my outfits together. It could be as easy as an embroidered blouse or purse, sheer material, or comfortable fabric choices. This embroidered sheer blouse from Express is a favorite of mine because it can be worn with jeans or a pencil skirt which equals versatile in my books.
Accessories: I love to accessorize my look and a firm believer in less is more. I have a lot of fine jewelry but I think it is smart to invest in timeless pieces like this Michele jelly bean watch which I've had for a couple years and I'm still able to get some wear out of it when the occasion arises.
Lipstick: Finally, get a few shades of lipstick color to select from. A lip color can finish an outfit perfectly and bring that pop of life to your look. I usually stick with more neutral shades but I do think every woman should have a shade of red lipstick in their collection. It can add a little glamour to your day!
I feel like writing a lot today, but I'll leave you with this. I am feeling so inspired to create more posts and content for you guys, and I am thinking of mixing some lifestyle and food posts on my blog. It's already so much fun, how are you liking it so far?
