Flip flops are out and it's getting hot which means Summer has arrived. In this day and age we don’t even have time to sit down let alone take a week off work. Fruits smoothies can be an easy way to nourish your body with essential nutrients and protect yourself during the hot summer months. One of my favorite ways of getting a big dose of goodness has always been smoothies.
All you need for any smoothie is a blender, fruit or vegetables, and a base, such as water, yogurt, or milk. Two tropical fruits, pineapple and mango, are the key ingredients for this smoothie. These fruits are sources of vitamin C, potassium, folate and manganese, which keeps your blood sugar, bones, nerves, and thyroid glands healthy.
I love starting my day with ice cold smoothies so at the moment I’m putting all of this goodness in my Vitamix blender in the morning.
